This was a quick practice portrait based on a photograph that I found on the Museum app.
The Museum App enables anyone to create an account and upload their photos for artists to draw. Many of them are generic look-at-the-camera headshots but there are also plenty of intersting poses and candid shots like this one.
I was more interested in capturing the expression and mood in this one which is why I never finished the clothing. I’ve tried really hard to be less concerned about “finished” pieces recently – it’s more important to keep drawing.
This one took just over an hour.
