Kim Jung Gi was truly a master of ink. He was taking a trip to ComicCon in New York when he fell ill and died on the 3rd October. If you’d like to see his work, he has an Instagram account at @kimjunggius
Although I was never fortunate enough to attend one of his demonstrations in person, the videos I’ve watched were inspirational. He could start with a huge blank surface and just begin to draw, filling in the space as if he’d already planned the piece before he started. It seemed that he could literally stand there and draw anything.
